arnold schwarzenegger workoutUnless that guard's life was in danger, there was no reason to shoot anyone, especially in the head. The placement of that shot was no accident.
That being said, I'm sure there are a lot of facts we don't know. Innocent until proven guilty, of course.
Your last paragraph is the only one you should have posted.
40 shots were reported to have been exchanged. FORTY. I'd say lives were most definitely in danger, and a trained law enforcement officer is not taught "shoot to hurt." You take down your target and end the ordeal.

"Macworld has confirmation from Apple that the new iMacs will support Target Display Mode but only when the device they are connected to is also a Thunderbolt equipped Mac."
Is that true?
If this is true, then the new 27" iMacs will not serve as a mirror device for the iPad 2 (which shoots out video at 1080 p).
Arnold SchwarzeneggerIt could be a cash cow for Apple, if it does sell 25-million phones. People want stylish phones - look how the ROKR took off (sadly, now everyone has one, it's considered naff...) - so that figure seems realistic if the product is right.
I hope the Apple phone will be 3G. Is there any indication of this? Surely Apple wouldn't go with the old 2G technology.

If you tie this story to the recent news from Michigan that cops there are able to suck the data off of your phone at a traffic stop, then this is really frightening.
You can get sucked off at a traffic stop by a cop in Michigan? Must make sure I never go to Michigan!:D
Arnold Schwarzenegger Workout:You know this for certain????
Last year Apple did the exact same thing sneaking out faster G4's with more vram in the Mac mini line.
Everyone and their pet rumor site is expecting upgrades. We weren't expecting across the board superdrives. I now am.
Personally i'd trade that superdrive for GMA965 with x3000 graphics, but thats about as likely before MWSF07 as a bullet proof string vest.
M.
I;;,m drunkn as a skunk. I know evderything for certain.
Last silent upgrades were very small. if this isn't a mistake is a massive upgrade.

Please bring back the 24"! 21" - too small. 27" - too big. 24" - just right!
I'm sticking with my 24" Core2Duo until a new 24" model is released.
I actually read somewhere that due to the way LCD panels are manufactured that there are various sizes that can be cut. Supposedly Apple is wasting several inches of panel by having an off size. I think it's possible that the 24" might just make its way back into the lineup as the new low end iMac. However, I think we would hear rumors of that ahead of time. Maybe with the next design change. I think 2012 will be a big year for the return of the Mac. There are rumors of MBP changes, and it seems like Apple could cut down the size of the "chin" and make the iMac look like the 27" LED ACD with just display showing from the front.
Anyways, I have a 27" LED ACD, and from my experience it's too big. I really love the size of it but it's a double edged sword. I found that the 24" was just right, but I would prefer the resolution of the 27" only in 16:10 format in the 24" ACD. I think Apple needs to also go for a 30" for the professionals out there that want bigger. I think a consumer perfect size is probably 24" while pros might want 30" or even larger. I am with you in wanting some better sizes in both iMacs and the ACDs with them. I do find it odd that the only size ACD is 27" while that's bigger and more expensive than most consumers care for, and Apple is all about consumers now.
arnold schwarzeneggerI'll tell you what has happened here.
Scum bags messed with the wrong dude
R.I.P.
Arnold Schwarzenegger`sWhoopidedoo, a whole $50 off. They HAD to do that because of the lack of actually updating anything worthy on the device. One could argue that it isn't enough of a price cut the way competitors music players are priced.
Anyone with half a brain will avoid these 5th G Part 2 devices like the plague, unless they want to waste money that could be spent 4 months later on a widescreen model.
Should we set up the thread now for the people that rush out and buy this version of the iPod then get burned just after Christmas when the real new iPod comes out? They'll need someplace to vent, and it's usually all over these threads. It would be nice to condense it.
My thoughts exactly.
ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER WORKOUTNew iMacs? Are you freakin kidding me? I just bought a damn iMac and now there is already new ones! Pffff...
Then you haven't been paying attention. We've KNOWN new iMacs were coming in September ever since Intel announced Core 2 Duo was coming in September, THREE MONTHS AGO. I've been waiting three months for the Core 2 Duo iMac update.

Like Squirrels you must store these "Mac" rumor articles, for the cold, iOS rumor months to follow. ;)
Boy howdy!
I'm a'gonna hold on to this rumour as much as possible....oh man, what's that next thread coming up?
Shucks-another iOS/iPhone rumour!:p
music, software ArnoldDer. No! The Woodcrest CPU is widely expected to make its debut in Apple's PowerMac replacement computer (widely expected to be called Mac Pro) on
August 7th 2006 at the World Wide Developers' Conference.
Rumored maybe, but not "widely expected". I only expect the high end Mac Pros to have Woodcrest, I can see the low end having Conroe easily.

Because people are stupid, that's why.
No one realistically games on a Macbook Air. And the SNB IGP is actually very capable. Their GMA offerings have generally always been crap but the 3000 is quite the opposite.
Playing Wow on 11" must be quite an experience. One must be quite an addict in order to want to play Wow on an MBA while on the go, I did hear that game was highly addicting. So, from a point of view, I understand the position of the people you call "stupid". Computer game addiction is a phenomena that is hard to deal with, I used to be a game addict but nowadays no game can attract my concentration for more than a day or a week. Civ4 and Simcity 4 Rush hour are exceptions but they have low requirements anyway so that I will be able to play them "while on the go" on the 11". Otherwise, I am quite content with the cheap stuff found on the App Store.
Arnold+schwarzenegger+...and SuperCachetes, I was under the impression that US jobs were going out of the country bc we can't afford Union price tags. But if you "think" making labor more expensive will spur hiring, then keep "thinking" that with your "brain" ;)
americanmanufacturing.org (http://americanmanufacturing.org/blog/alliance-american-manufacturing-statement-latest-monthly-job-numbers)
The latest monthly U.S. jobs numbers were released this morning. They showed an increase of 33,000 manufacturing jobs in February. Nonfarm payroll employment increased by 192,000, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 8.9 percent.
Said Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) Executive Director Scott Paul:
"The fact that 33,000 manufacturing jobs were added in February is good news, but we have a long way to go to undo the damage of the recession as well as China's mercantilism over the past decade. There is no doubt that the Obama Administration's rescue plan for our auto sector is playing a role in the growth in manufacturing employment. But, we risk losing these gains unless we can get our trade deficit with China under control. We continue to lose not only factories, but also entire industries, to China. We need to see a much more aggressive stance in Congress and the Administration on China's mercantilist practices."
The U.S. has been losing manufacturing jobs for the last decade not because of Unions but because of the cheap labour that is offered from places like China.

Been wanting this for a while. I have a windows PC just doing nothing, if I can turn it into an Airport Express like device, can have music going throughout the house.
I am confused. If your Mac is networked, why not just share your music folder on your network so any computer etc can play the music from the shared music folder on the mac?

why are you confused??? video play got extended, what do you expect more than that??
i'm just glad that my 5gen didn't get outdated so fast
Because they use the same battery, how can videos play longer and not music?
Arnold Schwarzenegger isBecause I am going to. I'm a completely safe driver (even when doing 90 or above) until I run into some dunderhead who has to enforce the speed limit themselves. Had that woman just moved like everyone else did, I would have never had to cut her off in order to punish her. And yes I did have to punish her, because she needed to be taught her dang place on the road.
EDIT: @adk - yes I am 16, however in this situation my mother was in the car and actually encouraged me to cut the idiot off. So it's not just an age based thing.
-Don
Your mum encouraged you to cut someone off? Bloody hell mate.
Driving isn't about punishing people. You aren't a Police Officer and with that attitude you're going to be posting on here soon saying 'some idiot made me crash my car on the highway.'. How did you know she wasn't going to panic when you cut her off and crash? You clearly don't have the mental capacity to understand that actions can and do have consequences which may affect others.
Anyway, no lecture here. Let's just get straight to the point. You are a CHILD. You have no regard for the safety of others or regard of the law.
I think this should be renamed 'Childish c**t who drives too fast'.
If you want to drive fast, go on track days where there's a load of room for run off and everyone on the track is there in full awareness that there is a possibility they could destroy their cars. Keep your aggressive driving off the roads.
Arnold schwarzenegger t3In the past, when Apple has released new models, on the "deals" page, they would sell off the old *new boxed* stock for a little less than the new models. Sometimes these were a great deal, other times, not so much. Anyway, with the iMac and Mac Mini updates last week and the iPod updates today, it appears that there is no "old stock" products for sale from Apple. I was hoping to pick up the 5G/60GB to replace my 4G/60GB as I'd now like the bigger screen. Yes, I am looking for a deal... Or how about a 1G/1G shuffle for $49???
Does anyone know how Apple is getting rid of the old?

i like these shows very much, especially when rumors are getting real products :-D
but why aren't there anymore livecasts from these shows?!? a stream after the event isn't that exciting!!
I think the big advantage to this downgrade will be buying clearance and refurbished Nvidia-based MBAs for 25% discounts... Unless Apple somehow fits a standard voltage SB CPU in the 13" MBA, I think most will be better off with C2D and Nvidia 320m at discounts.
Exactly what I was thinking I'd much rather have the 320M it makes youtube and other graphics accelerated apps so much better than the 9400M, can't imagine downgrading to igp.
from what ive read the difference between Core Duo and Core 2 Duo isnt much
its not like P4 and Core 2 Duo
the Core 2 Duo are -10-15% faster at the same clock speed but use more power At the same clock speed they use about the same amount of power but have improved performance AND they support x86-64, have much improved SIMD hardware (bringing SSE much closer to AltiVec in terms of performance per clock) and double the L2 cache. All around this is a better CPU.
...however for them to truly shine you will want to pair them with Intel's new mobile chipset that should be out early next year (if not sooner).
I am not really crazy about this design. Having to slide the click-wheel down every time I need to use my phone doesn't sound like fun (plus, what would this thing look like open? ...what I'm picturing is ugly).
I was hoping for an iPod Nano form factor with a numerical keypad... nice an simple.
I would have thought the same thing.. but I used a Sony Erricson phone for awhile.. iWalk I think they called it ?? but it had a simplified buttons under the screen, if you needed to "Dial" a number you could flip out the buttons. But most often you are either "answering" your phone, or pulling up a number from the directory, either case you don't need a full number pad key for. As it was, I almost never revealed the keypad on that phone.
